This was one of the biggest events among the ones I attended. I was very much fantasized about the new title of Eric’s book “Digital Leadership” … the day it was published. I already asked the Librarian of my school to buy at least one copy but it isn’t available yet in Indian markets.
I learnt a lot through the new discoveries of digital education. Innovative Learning opened up new horizons at my school through Independent OpenCourseware (IOCS). Free Technology for Teachers is a better platform and forum for teachers to interact and share their ideas and problems.
Digital Citizenship, Web 2.0 tools and Minecraft are the resources liked by the teachers at my school. Most of the resources and Eric’s insight into the educational technology are very cool. This is what 21st Century’s students require. We need to be smarter and cooler than our students, digitally.
The comparison between how and what we cater at school and how actually it is applicable in real life was an eye opener and thought provoking.
Digitally Resilient students and/or teachers are really frustrated with the so called “Educational Technology” or “Digital Citizenship” or Digital Classrooms” !
The knowledge shared through digital flower showing different media, networks, blogs etc was amazing which is all in one package.
It is really questionable that whether the current education system is killing the creativity of students ! Digital Learning is the only answer to it. Digital leadership encourages leaders to spread awareness of the digital learning among the teachers to encourage students and to give freedom to the students bring creative and innovative ideas.
I have shared a lot with the teachers at my school and it is a long learning and changing process.
Thanks a ton to Eric for such an amazing initiative.
