Before Apple announced their e-textbook initiative, I didn't really think Apple had done much to influence technology in the classroom with iPads. You are right. Is this a response to the growing popularity of the Kindle Fire or the growing Android tablet market? Can Apple take on the publishing world like they did the music industry. The possibilities are intriguing. But the price for schools has got to come down, and they have to solve the App purchasing debacle for schools.
I wonder what the announcement by Apple on January 19 is going to do for E-Textbooks? Will it move I-Pads into schools at a quicker rate? Will it really assist our students in any measurable way? Is it simply a ploy to grab more market share as more tablets are coming on the scene?
